Our support groups at the Erie Cancer Wellness Center encourage conversation and understanding for those who are newly diagnosed or in treatment, those who have completed treatment and those supporting loved ones along their cancer journey.
When diagnosed with cancer, you may experience shock, anger, sadness, and fear. Even your closest family members likely will not understand how you feel. But to paraphrase a well-known song, “we can get by with a little help from our friends.” Please contact us at 814-651-0920 with any questions about the classes we offer.
A monthly group for those who have completed cancer treatment. Topics include: fear of recurrence, managing anxiety, work issues, long term side effects, nutrition, exercise, relationships & more.
Facilitated by Karen Staab, Ph.D.
Sign UpWe provide emotional and financial support for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. We are here to assist them on their journeys with breast cancer and to be a place where they can feel they belong. We provide emotional support through our monthly meetings, one on one meetings and a private Facebook group page. We can financially assist patients with medical costs, travel costs to get to treatment and living expenses such as grocery cards and help with utility and rent or mortgage payments. As survivors, we want to be an inspiration for them just as someone was for us when we needed it. This battle doesn’t have to be fought alone. We have all been there, some of us more than once.
Have you experienced a loss that you’ve not fully processed or accepted? Bev Keep will facilitate this group, as well as the Newly Diagnosed Support Group on its designated days.
