Wigs and Beauty

The Erie Cancer Wellness Center offers numerous wigs and other beauty accessories to help patients maintain their outward self during their treatment journey. All salon services are free of charge. Our salon is staffed by volunteer stylists and trained wig fitters.

About Our Program

Wig & Beauty Room

There are many changes to your body and self esteem during treatment. Hair loss, including eyebrows and lashes, can dramatically change what you are used to seeing in the mirror. We’re here to help. Our goal is to help you look and feel your best and we do that in a myriad of ways. We have a beautiful wig salon, currently home to 300+ wigs, and a stylist to adapt them to your liking. We also have make-up artists that can talk about how to apply false lashes and draw in eyebrows. Not everyone loves wearing a wig, so we have scarves, ties, hats, and turbans to add to your wardrobe. Each quarter we have a “Beautiful You” event where we invite in providers (hair stylists, nail technicians, shoulder/neck massage, etc.) in to offer services and where we celebrate the beauty that is you.

Our beauty room offers Wig Consultations, Makeup & Nail Programs, Wigs, Hats, and Scarves – free of charge. Please contact us at 814-651-0920 to schedule an appointment.

  • Wig Styling Appointments

    After choosing a wig from out salon, schedule a fitting and styling appointment with Patti Myers, of Patti Myers Hair Fashions. Patti has two visits to the Center a month, so call today!

  • Wig Consultations with Tia Maria

    Do you need a wig? Does your wig need an adjustment or do you have questions about fitting in general? Tia, a wig expert, will be at the Center the second Thursday of each month, from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Please call to schedule your consultation.

    Wig consults are always available on a drop-in basis from the staff at the ECWC.

  • Beautiful You! Quarterly Beauty Events

    Spring Fling Beautiful You will be on April 29th! Stay tuned for more information!

    Join us as we invite beauty experts in for a night of pampering! These events offer complimentary group sessions that teach beauty techniques to help people with cancer feel their very best during treatment and cope with appearance related side effects. It’s an evening of community, laughter, and all things beautiful!

    Registration is required for this event and priority will be given to people who are currently in treatment. The Registration link will be active once the date is scheduled. For more information, contact Kim Connelly.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, The Erie Cancer Wellness Center relies on our friends, donors, partners, and community supporters. The organization is 100% privately funded, not receiving government monies or insurance reimbursement. Funding for The Erie Cancer Wellness Center is provided by tax-deductible donations from a caring community of individuals, families, foundations, and businesses.
